My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were a bit run down but offered a nice view of the harbor. The hotel offers an extremely comfortable king-sized bed and a convenient sofa bed in a large and clean room. Later in the day, the room transforms into a popular dining spot for both locals and visitors.
After four days of travel around St Peters, Baddeck, and Mabou, sometimes on the Cabot Trail and the Ceilidh Trail, I found the hotel to be a tired but decent option. The room had separate shower and toilet, yet the sink and mirror could use an update. The staff were friendly and professional, making my stay quite pleasant. The location allowed for easy walking access to many nearby attractions and facilities, with a good breakfast included but some improvements needed. Overall, a satisfactory stay for the value.
